What’s the matter?

The new BMW M5 is here! And it’s faster and better than ever. As usual, it is based on the current generation of the BMW 5 Series, internally called the G30. But unlike previous BMW M5s, this one is significantly different.

For the first time in the history of the M5, it becomes standard with all-wheel drive, which unfortunately leaves the M5 rear-wheel drive in the past. But this does not mean that we did not expect this, given that all-wheel drive was in demand on demand. However, the new BMW M5 is completely new from scratch.
What’s new with the next-gen BMW M5?

Because the new BMW M5, well, in general, the new one, from scratch. Beyond the obvious, the biggest change to the M5 is the inclusion of all-wheel drive, the first for the company and the M5 itself. And this is the only configuration available. To some, this seems like a blasphemous move, as BMW has always been proud to use rear-wheel drive, while its competitors have switched to four-wheel drive.

But not everything is lost, because, according to BMW, it can completely disengage the clutch on all legs, including only rear-wheel drive, at the touch of a button. Another first for BMW and M5.

Despite the additional complexity and equipment of the BMW M5, not to mention the fact that its dimensions are growing slightly in all directions, the new BMW M5 manages to shave off considerable weight. Thanks to the wider use of carbon fiber and carbon fiber, the new M5 saves almost a couple of hundred pounds. BMW knew that they had weight problems on the last M5, so this time they obviously redirected it.
